Every time I go away for some personal study time, God challenges and refreshes me. One of the challenges we are currently facing as a church is the need to get more people involved in the process of planning worship and in the act of leading worship. We need to create a worship planning team and we need to recruit some people to lead us in singing and using other gifts in leading.
But it's hard to plan ahead if I haven't figured out what I am preaching on quite a while before hand. I'd love input on topics for preaching. Here are several I'm considering right now:
- Spiritual Gifts
- The Ten Commandments
- The Life of Moses (Book of Exodus)
- Heroes of the Faith (Hebrews 11)
- unChristian (sermons on the book by David Kinnaman)
- Parenthood (series on parenting and family)
- 3:16 The Numbers of Hope for Easter series based on Max Lucado's book
- Q&A - Questions and Answers about the Christian faith
- Urban Legends - challenging myths about the Christian faith
- The Politics of Jesus - since it's an election year
