It's something we SHOULD do. It's something we WANT to do. It's something we NEED to do. And the best part is… we’re doing it together. Every year thousands of people promise themselves they’re going to do it this year. They’re going to read through the Bible. Or they’re going to read a little bit everyday. Most people don’t make it. Not even through the first month.
But this year is different. We’re going to start with something we can all handle. It’s the new year, and we’re reading the New Testament. And we’re doing it in 30 days. It’s called New Thru 30, a sermon series you have the opportunity to participate in.
Now I know some of you are hesitant to join us because of the time involved. I’ve done a little research and it will take the average adult about 30 minutes of reading 5 days a week to read through the New Testament in 30 days. I also know that the average adult watches about 4 hours of television every day. So the plan is this...watch less television and read the Bible for 30 minutes or so each day.
I hope and pray everyone in our church will take up this challenge. It will be a challenge but I guarantee that it will be worth it. Join us for New Thru 30 and plan to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
